SAREEN KAUR KHAKH – ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY 

Sareen Khakh is an associate attorney at Schein Law Group. She is passionate about protecting employee rights, seeking justice for individuals who experienced harm in the workplace, advocating for increasing employee protections, and trauma-informed practice. 

Prior to joining the SLG team, Sareen spent two years at Bibiyan Law Group as a law clerk and an associate attorney upon being admitted to the bar. Sareen handled a wide variety of plaintiff-side employment cases including class actions, Private Attorney General Act of 2004 representative actions, Fair Employment and Housing Act cases, and individual employment actions. Sareen litigated these cases in state court, federal court, and in arbitration. Sareen's experience includes claims for unpaid wages, failure to pay overtime, failure to provide compliant meal and rest breaks, failure to reimburse business expenses, OSHA violations, disability discrimination, gender/sex discrimination, race discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation. 

Before beginning work at Bibiyan Law Group, Sareen worked with several civil rights and human rights organizations. Sareen was an intern with the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals in the Hague where she compiled evidence and provided litigation support on war crimes and human rights cases in the former Yugolsavia. Sareen also interned for the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California in the LGBTQ, Gender and Reproductive Justice Project and assisted with impact litigation including a class actions enforcing the rights of pregnant and breastfeeding women in the workplace and advocating for the safety and dignity of unhoused men and women in Southern California shelters. Sareen also received a fellowship from the National LGBTQ Task Force where she engaged in legal advocacy, policy work, and coalition building to advance and protect the rights of the LGBTQ community.

Sareen graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2024 with certifications in the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy, International and Comparative Law, and Critical Race Studies. At UCLA Law, Sareen was class president of the Student Bar Association, Symposium Director of the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs, and a member of the Williams Institute Moot Court Team. She received the Masin Family Academic Excellence Gold Award in International Human Rights Law and the Gleason Kettel Fellowship from the Williams Institute.

Prior to UCLA Law, Sareen attended the University of Missouri, where she graduated with honors with her Bachelors of Health Science in Health Sciences – Leadership and Public Policy with minors in psychology and English.
